The Prince’s Countryside Fund responds to new Agriculture Bill
September 12, 2018
“The Fund is committed to supporting rural communities and farming families throughout this period of transition and beyond."
Claire Saunders, Director of The Prince’s Countryside Fund said in response to today’s (12th September) Agriculture Bill:
“The Fund is committed to supporting rural communities and farming families throughout this period of transition and beyond. We will continue to welcome grant applications that can help to build economic strength for those who live and work in the countryside.
“I would strongly encourage farming families to sign up to our Farm Resilience programme, so that their businesses are healthy and viable to respond to changes in the industry. From this year, the programme has introduced an environmental benefits workshop, helping farmers to measure their environmental impact, and monitor the work they’re doing that classifies as public good to ensure they are in a strong position to claim reward under the future agriculture policy.”
