Friends of the Countryside
By supporting The Royal Countryside Fund, you will ensure our countryside, rural communities and farming families can thrive into the future.
Become a Friend of the Countryside and help build a real future for rural Britain
How can you help?
We’re asking people to become a Friend of the Countryside because there are people in real need in our rural areas. Like those who call Tir Dewi, a farm support network in Wales, who’ve benefitted from our grant programme.
Gareth, director of Tir Dewi, explains: “The pressure facing farmers can be huge. Simply having someone to talk to can be a lifeline. Without us, there are several farms that would have failed. The concerns of farmer mental health – farmer breakdown, hospitalization and suicide – are grave. Working with The Royal Countryside Fund has made a significant difference; we simply wouldn’t be able to survive without them.”
Why should you give regularly?
Regular gifts provide security and stability for our work. They ensure we can plan for the future in the knowledge that we can execute our strategy. Our ambition is to support 10,000 farming families over the next three years and invest more than £1.5 million in vital community projects.
If you have any questions about becoming a Friend of the Countryside, we would love to hear from you. Please email our Senior Communications and Philanthropy Officer, Chloë.
