HRH The Duke of Cornwall officially opened the café at St Tudy village shop this week (18th July) as part of his and The Duchess of Cornwall's visit to the south west.
St Tudy was awarded a grant from The Prince’s Countryside Fund to add a café to their successful and thriving village shop. The shop provides a meeting place for village residents, with free wifi, delicious cakes and pasties, and excellent coffee.
St Tudy is particularly proud of that they managed to open their community run shop the day after the privately run shop closed, and with a team of 80 willing volunteers they’re open every day of the week – except Christmas!
HRH met volunteers and residents of the village, and was presented with a giant Cornish pasty.
