On Thursday 14th September our Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales, visited the Westmorland Agricultural Society show in Cumbria.
During the visit Prince Charles met with a number of the Fund’s beneficiaries including Stuart and Susan, who took part in The Prince’s Farm Resilience Programme in Cockermouth this year, and with members of the Farmer Network and the Dry Stone Walling Association.
The Prince also watched traditional Cumbrian wrestling, took a tour of the food hall, and viewed the livestock on show.
The Fund’s grant manager, Clare Crookenden, attended the show on behalf of the Fund. She was generously hosted by one of our grant recipients, the Farming Community Network, a charity who work across Cumbria supporting farming families.
We rely on your donations to support rural lives and keep British farming and village communities sustainable
