Booths and the RCF launch new partnership to support farming families
Booths and the RCF raised a glass to Britain’s farmers during English Wine Week, as Yorkshire Dales farmer Carol Moffat hosted the launch of new partnership with The Royal Countryside Fund to support rural communities.
As part of English Wine Week, Booths and The Royal Countryside Fund (RCF) have launched a new fundraising initiative that will support farming families and rural communities across the UK.
The partnership was unveiled at a reception hosted on the Yorkshire Dales farm of Carol Moffat, whose family farm has benefited from the RCF’s Farm Resilience Programme. The event brought together farmers, rural businesses and supporters of British agriculture to celebrate the countryside and the communities that sustain it.
Guests included farming families who have participated in the RCF’s free-to-access farming programmes, alongside representatives from Booths, The Farmer Network and the wider agricultural community. The event provided an opportunity to hear first-hand how the charity is helping rural communities and family farmers build resilience and plan for the future.
From July 1st 2026, £1 from every bottle of EH Booth & Co English Sparkling Wine and EH Booth & Co Rosé English Sparkling Wine sold in Booths stores will be donated to the RCF.
The initiative builds on a longstanding relationship between Booths and the charity. Edwin Booth CBE DL was a founding Trustee of the organisation, formerly known as The Prince’s Countryside Fund, and continues to serve on its Development Committee.
Today, that commitment continues through Emma Booth, Chief Brand Officer at Booths, who is spearheading the new fundraising initiative.
EH Booth & Co English Sparkling Wine and EH Booth & Co Rosé English Sparkling Wine are produced by Ridgeview Wine Estate, one of England’s pioneering sparkling wine producers and a leading advocate for the growing English wine category.
The partnership highlights the connection between British farming, food production and one of the country’s most exciting agricultural success stories.
Carol Moffat, Farmer and FRP participant, said:
“The Farm Resilience Programme gave me the opportunity to step back, look at the business differently and make practical changes that will help secure its future for the next generation. I’m delighted to be hosting this launch on our farm. It’s a chance to showcase the importance of British farming and highlight the support that helps family farms continue producing food, caring for the countryside and planning for the future.”
Emma Booth, Chief Brand Officer at Booths, said:
“Supporting British farmers and producers has always been at the heart of Booths, and our partnership with the Royal Countryside Fund reflects that commitment. Launching this initiative during English Wine Week feels particularly fitting. We’re celebrating an exceptional British product while helping support the farming families and rural communities that are so vital to our countryside and food system.”
Keith Halstead, Executive Director, The Royal Countryside Fund said:
“Behind every farm is a family, and behind every thriving rural community is a network of people working hard to sustain it. By choosing EH Booth & Co English Sparkling Wine, customers will be making a direct contribution to the future of the countryside and helping us support the people who are at the heart of rural Britain.”
We would like to extend our profound gratitude to Carol Moffat and her family for hosting the event, and our renewed thanks to Booths for their support of our work.
