Great Yorkshire Show - catch ups and hat swaps
The Great Yorkshire Show was our penultimate show of the season! Among many useful and interesting discussions and launches, it was a great opportunity to share our new Royal Countryside Fund caps with colleagues and friends across the industry.
Last week, our Executive Director, Keith Halstead travelled to Harrogate for the Great Yorkshire Show, where he was joined by RCF trustee, Rupert Arnold.
Morrisons kindly hosted the RCF throughout the day and it was great to see them spotlighting the impact of the RCF’s work . Their longstanding and generous support for our work is deeply appreciated.
Our new RCF caps are not only flying the RCF flag far and wide, but we are reducing our water impact. The caps are 100% recycled the purchase of each cap funds improved access to drinking water across the globe.
Water use as a challenge, is more pertinent than ever, particularly among the farmers and rural communities that the RCF supports, as they struggle to contend with the heatwaves and “prolonged dry weather” that we are experiencing in the UK.

We also saw the Dry Stone Wallers Association, who we’ve previously supported with grant funding, hard at work educating the public about this important heritage craft.

It was also a fantastic opportunity to catch up with the CLA team and hear about their work supporting family farmers.
