Working with Water
Water on farms
Water is essential for every farm. Good water management can make your farm more resilient to weather events and help protect the farm business and the surrounding environment.
Every farm is different, but finding the right nature-based solutions can be a low-cost way to safeguard your farm now and for generations to come.
Through farm walks and expert talks, we are helping farmers better understand the changes they can make to:
- Build drought resilience on their farm.
- Boost biodiversity
- Reduce the risk and impact of flooding.
Case Study
Working with Water in Norfolk
5 workshops
In 2025, we begun working with farm clusters in Norfolk, in partnership with the Norfolk Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) and water experts from UCL, UEA, The Norfolk Ponds Project, and Water Resources East.
To date, we have run 5 free workshops, helping 102 farmers, landowners, and other attendees understand how they can implement low-cost natural measures to better manage water for the environment and their farm businesses.
